ICIS Training Launches Petrochemicals Course
ICIS training offers a one day introduction course to petrochemicals. Aimed at new starters or those servicing the industry the course is designed in simple to understand language. Delegates will get a global view of the industry as well as future trends, understand petrochemical chains and discover who the major players are and their role in the industry.
London (PRWEB) November 4, 2005 -- ICIS, the world’s largest information provider for the global chemical industry, launches ‘Petrochemicals – A Beginners’ Course’ in India on the 7th December 2005. To be held in Mumbai, the course is intended to give an introduction to the petrochemical industry, a sector which is expected to see considerable growth in India over the next few years.
Bullish growth projections for the Indian economy have prompted new interest in petrochemical projects. It is forecast that India will become the third largest polymer consumer globally by 2010. Indian textile exports are projected to jump from $14bn in 2003 to $50bn in 2010 following the end of quotas. However, this growth will become more dependent on imported gas and oil, leading to the challenges of managing volatile raw material costs.
'Petrochemicals – A Beginners’ Course' explains the fundamental relationship between oil products and petrochemicals, and then how petrochemicals are used in the many everyday consumer products which India will manufacture for local demand and export. The petrochemical business and fundamentals that drive markets are covered, providing delegates with the tools to be able to apply their knowledge to the bigger picture.
