LPG Conversions -- Easy, Fast and Convenient in the UK
Car owners can save thousands of pounds in annual fuel costs by converting their cars to LPG. Fuelture has lauched a new LPG conversion service in the UK.
Glasgow, UK (PRWEB) October 30, 2005 -- Owners of fleet cars, taxis and other high mileage vehicles can save thousands of pounds on annual fuel costs by converting their cars to run on LPG (liquid petroleum gas). And now a new service from alternative fuel specialists, Fuelture aims to make the whole process of LPG conversion easy for drivers in the UK.
Fuelture MD, Gbenga Kogbe explains, “The potential savings with LPG are huge. A medium sized company with six reps on the road each doing an average of 40,000 miles could save over £14,000 a year if switching from petrol.”
“And a single taxi driver doing 50,000 miles a year could cut his weekly fuel bill from £124 to around £67.”
“The Queen, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister and the U.S. President all use LPG vehicles –- as do companies such as FedEx and DHL, numerous police forces and local authorities,” says Kogbe, “There are now 120,000 LPG vehicle owners in the UK, and 7 million across the world.”
Fuelture has teamed up with Nicholas McLaren Engines to provide LPG conversions throughout the UK. “LPG is not only proven to save money but is much easier on the environment," says Mike Pearson of Nicholson McLaren Engines.
The savings from LPG are particularly good if you pay the congestion charge in London. “LPG vehicles are except so if you drive in central London every working day, you’ll save another £2,000 per year. With other cities actively looking at introducing congestion charging, now is a very good time to think about LPG conversion.”

LPG stands for “Liquefied Petroleum Gas”, and it’s widely recognised as a low carbon, environmentally beneficial alternative to diesel and petrol.
LPG starts off as a by-product from the processing natural gas and the refining of crude oil. LPG is a gas -– a mixture of propane and butane. Under slight pressure, the gas becomes a liquid.
